Favorite Word Friday #1- Marvelous

Happy Friday everyone! I hope this Friday finds you well. Today I bring to you a brand new feature for the blog: Favorite Word Friday. As an author and a reader, I have many favorite words. Certain words just stir me and I can't get enough of them. So I decided to start writing about my favorite words, which led to Favorite Word Friday. Each Friday I'll be posting one of my favorite words along with the Merriam Webster definition and a paragraph detailing why I love these words. I hope you enjoy and feel free to let me know your favorite words in the comments!

Marvelous
adjective mar·vel·ous \ˈmärv-(ə-)ləs\
Definition: extremely good or enjoyable

There's something about the word "marvelous." I just love it. Maybe it's due to the fact that it's connotation is one of positivity. Maybe it's because I love the Eisley song "MarvelousThings." Or perhaps it's because you always think of a woman in the 1920's wearing elbow length gloves saying "Mah-velous Dahling." Whatever the case, marvelous is one of my favorite words. I'll try to use it in writing as often as I can. I love hearing this word. Yeah, it's one of favorites.

So there's the first installment of Favorite Word Friday. I hope you enjoyed. Have a marvelous weekend! ;-)
